Modern Appliances That Gets Me Stoked

If you are within the golden age range of 23 to 45, you are probably now understanding why your parent would call you as a child from the room to pick something right in front of them. You now know how mental and physical fatigue work hand in hand against you. I have been and am still there, so I will share examples of modern appliances that can help you win the war against fatigue.

Voice Control

Of all the technological advancements by humans in recent times, this is my favorite. Nothing beats being able to tell Alexa or Siri to lower the volume, play some music, freshen the air, turn on the air humidifier, or to even close the curtains without you having to get up.

If you use a phone, you already know what I am talking about, except this is the bigger stage. Imagine not having to get up or even open your eyes yet getting so much done! I cannot stop thanking whoever invented this; I feel like they understand me, you know?

Air Humidifier and Purifier

Until recently, these used to be two separate appliances but companies listened to customer feedback, and now you can have both in one appliance.

The task of a humidifier is to control the humidity of the immediate environment, an appliance to get you through the chilly days or nights. While the job of a purifier is to clear the air of dust, mold or allergens and get rid of odors.

These two appliances don’t just have fun functions; they also come with pleasing aesthetics to make your home look fabulous.

Video Doorbells

Come on; the name says it all! With the video doorbells, you don’t have to open the door for someone you don’t want to see! Remember that neighbor that didn’t return your wine opener? Next time he comes knocking, you can see him from your side of the door without opening the door; you get to pretend you aren’t home. If that isn’t cool, I don’t know what is.

Also, if your neighbors are like mine and always ring the wrong apartment number, you get to see if it’s someone you know or not.

Vacuum Cleaner

It is not just an alternative method to traditional cleaning; it saves you time and energy. With a vacuum cleaner, you never have to bend along with the broom ever again; you won’t even have to clean as much as before.

Wait, let me explain; with the traditional broom, you get most of the more considerable dirt or waste off your floors, and with the vacuum cleaner, you get all of it, even the tiny ones your eyes missed.

These days, they come with all types of brushes and plugins to help you clean the dog hair out of your chairs and rugs. When buying, you should look for those with mufflers, so you don’t contribute to noise pollution.

Filtered Water Dispenser

Now, this is an incredible invention; an appliance that doesn’t just filter your water but also can make it hot or cold without boiling or putting it in the traditional refrigerator.

It reminds me of boarding school times when we cooked our noodles with hot water from the dispenser. Please note that this was because noodles were prohibited, and the statute of limitations has passed.

Dishwasher

Instead of discussing who will wash the plates during courtship, why not get a dishwasher and save yourself the headache? My partner has this philosophy of not wasting his time on things money can fix.

For example, instead of asking who will wash plates, you could load the dishwasher; instead of being at risk of both of you being too tired to clean, why not employ the services of a cleaning agency? The dishwasher also ensures my ladies don’t have to get food grease on their nails.

As long as the job gets done, I don’t think it matters who did it. I sincerely believe the world is too advanced for some things to ruin your relationship.

Blender/ Juicer

Besides the pots and cooker, I think this is my most-used kitchen appliance. I always seem to be blending something; my blender also doubles as my juicer and smoothie maker, so yeah, it does a lot of tasks.

There’s no reason you don’t have one of these in the 21st century, I understand that they can be noisy, but in recent times, that has been remedied with an extra top that muffles the grinding noise.

They also have different blade sizes to get your preferred texture.

Air fryer

Since the day my air fryer was delivered, I haven’t had a reason to go back to the old ways. It’s fast become my partner’s favorite kitchen appliance; he keeps thanking me for pushing him to buy it though he won’t admit it if you ask him.

The air fryer comes with different settings of time and temperature for anything you can think of frying plus, it also extracts the oil from whatever you are frying and saves you cooking time before frying time.

If you ever look at the oil extracted from your food by the air fryer, you would never want to eat any traditionally made food.

An air fryer is an appliance that ensures you can eat your chicken wings healthily.

Microwave Oven

If you don’t have a microwave, you need to tell me how you warm your food. A microwave can heat up and also cook your food. I recently learned that you could make cupcakes with your microwave, but I recently got on a diet, so I can’t try it out yet.

Some microwaves double as a mini oven, and you can make some pastries in them, though you have to be sure of the appliance’s specifications.

Instant Pot

As the name suggests, this appliance makes your food almost instantly. It replaces your rice cooker, pressure pot, saucepan, steamer, warmer, etc. This appliance ensures you can put a timer on your food to get cooked adequately without getting burnt.

It also makes sure that your schedule is freed up for other things since you don’t have to stay in the kitchen while using this.

Hand Mixer

Depending on the type, a mixer or stand mixer is a kitchen device that uses a gear-driven mechanism to rotate a set of “beaters” in a bowl containing the food or liquids to be prepared by mixing them.

In the part of the world where I am from, a lot of our meals need proper mixing, so this particular appliance is much appreciated as it gets the job done faster and better.

Mini Grill/ Sandwich Maker

It is for you if you love a mean steak or that precious T-bone.

This comes in different sizes for indoor or outdoor grilling. They can also double as sandwich makers, waffle makers, and for some, cupcake makers. They can be powered by gas, electricity, charcoal, or alternative energies.

It all comes down to your needs, likes, and specifications.

In conclusion, these appliances result from technological advancement in the 21st century. As is the purpose of technology, these appliances were made to save time and energy and steer you towards healthier living. Embrace them shamelessly!!!.
