Yummy Blue Velvet Cupcakes Recipe For Dummies / No Mixer Needed
A little while back, I shared my red velvet cupcake recipe and making that recipe made me realize how much I still had to learn about cupcakes and how many types of velvet cakes there are. And that’s how I ended up making blue velvet cupcakes and today I will be sharing the recipe with you.
For this recipe, you will need:
11/4 Cups of All-purpose flour
1 egg
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of butter
1 teaspoon of blue food coloring
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of vinegar
1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder
Please note that this recipe makes 6/9 cupcakes
Let’s get to baking
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, sift your flour, sugar, vanilla, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder and whisk together till it appears well combined.
Step 2: Set this aside
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, pour in your butter, vinegar, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and food coloring and mix till it’s well combined.
Step 4: Add in your dry ingredients a little at a time till the batter is fully formed and thick.
Step 5: Pour into your lined cupcake mold.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow cooling for about 4/5 minutes and enjoy!!!
